A Landmark of Legacy and Elegance
Proudly preserving Wiesbaden’s heritage since 1890.
For over a century, our family has carefully maintained and safeguarded this historic property in Wiesbaden’s elegant pedestrian centre. Built in 1890, Kirchgasse 60 / Mauritiussstraße 1 stands as a landmark building and a distinguished corner property at the crossroads of Kirchgasse and Mauritiussstraße—an address long regarded as one of the most prominent in Wiesbaden’s pedestrian axis.
For more than three decades, Hallhuber occupied this site, contributing to the street’s tradition of refined and long-standing retail. In 2024, the building’s façade was meticulously restored to Denkmal (heritage-monument) standards, ensuring its architectural integrity and timeless charm are preserved.
Situated amidst Wiesbaden’s vibrant historic centre, the property offers immediate access to premier shopping, cafés, and cultural landmarks. Today, we remain committed to upholding the building’s legacy and character, ensuring that Kirchgasse 60 / Mauritiussstraße 1 continues to play its part in Wiesbaden’s architectural and commercial heritage.
The historic Walhalla complex at Mauritiusstrasse 3, immediately adjacent to Kirchgasse 60 / Mauritiusstrasse 1, is currently undergoing a major city-funded restoration.
The project will introduce cultural programming, gastronomy, and institutional uses within Wiesbaden's historic centre.
Planned programming includes performance venues, studio spaces, a cultural café, and institutional partnerships with the Staatstheater Wiesbaden, the Stadtbibliothek, and the Rheingau Musik Festival.
